First baseman Yuli Gurriel signed a one-year, $8.3 million contract with the Houston Astros, according to USA Today.
The contract includes $250,000 in award bonuses for 2020, USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports.
Gurriel, who could have gone to arbitration had he not signed the guaranteed contract, can declare free agency at the end of the season.
