(SportsRadio 610) -- It appears the Rockets are reaching back in time.
The team is planning to sign forward Luc Mbah a Moute ahead of the NBA restarting its season in Orlando later this month, according to Shams Charania at The Athletic.
Mbah a Moute's signing would come as forward Thabo Sefolosha elects not to join the team in Orlando, where the Rockets travel July 9.
It's been a while since Mbah a Moute played professional basketball. He was a key member of the Rockets' 2017-18 team, which lost to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference finals after holding a 3-2 series lead.
The next season, Mbah a Moute returned to the Los Angeles Clippers for a second stint with the franchise, but suffered a serious knee injury that limited him to just four games.
Mbah a Moute averaged over 36 percent from 3 and was a solid defender for the Rockets in '17-18.
