(SportsRadio 610) – Rumors, speculation and innuendo in a potential saga between Texans' head coach/general manager Bill O'Brien and former Texans' wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins gained steam Wednesday.
Pro Football Hall of Famer and Radio.com insider Michael Irvin joined 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, and told the station that he spoke with Hopkins after the trade.
Irvin mentioned that Hopkins told him part of what led to the relationship between the star receiver and O'Brien souring was a meeting between Hopkins and O'Brien that the coach compared to a meeting he previously had with Aaron Hernandez in New England.
Irvin also implied that Hopkins felt O'Brien thought that he had too great an influence in the Texans' locker room, and that O'Brien made mention to Hopkins having his 'baby mamas' around the facility.

"I've never heard a coach worth a damn mention a player had too much control in the locker room," Stoerner said.
Hopkins, who reportedly wants a bump in pay, took to Twitter soon after the news made its rounds to downplay what Irvin had said.

"This signifies the level of dysfunction that's within the Texans' organization once again," Stoerner added.
