(SportsRadio 610) -- Texans players, coaches and CEO Cal McNair were
among those who attended George Floyd's funeral in southwest Houston on Tuesday at Fountain of Praise Church.
McNair was there with his wife, Hannah, along with coach and general manager Bill O'Brien. Executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby also attended the funeral, as did Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, offensive coordinator Tim Kelly and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.
The players were
encouraged by O'Brien last week to attend the funeral. He canceled team activities for the day to allow players and coaches to pay their respects.
Floyd, a native of Houston's Third Ward, was killed last month by a Minneapolis police officer in a case that has prompted a worldwide outcry about police brutality.
The team started
a new series on its website Monday, "Conversations for Change," which featured former Texans defensive lineman and SportsRadio 610 contributor Travis Johnson sitting down with Cal, Hannah and Texans owner and co-founder Janice McNair.
