HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones are arguably the best two receivers in the NFL, and Sunday will mark the second meeting between the All-Pro wide outs.

Hopkins is a three-time Pro Bowl participant and a two-time All-Pro selection.  Jones, who has been in the league two years longer, is a six-time Pro Bowl participant and has been selected to two All-Pro teams.

“Both players can really go after it.  It just seems more often that guys like DeAndre and Julio, and some of it is their size, but some of it is their aggressive nature to go make plays too, where if it’s up in the air, both players have the mindset of ‘that pass is for me,’” Falcons’ head coach Dan Quinn said.

Both Hopkins and Jones have numbers that have them on the fast track to Canton, so far in 2019, their numbers are again comparable.  In four games, Jones has caught 23 passes for 317 yards and a league leading four touchdown receptions.  Hopkins in four games has 24 catches for 259 yards and two touchdown grabs.

The superstars have only met once in their career, a game back in 2015, Hopkins’ third year in the league.  Jones and the Falcons won the game, 48-21, but Hopkins did more in the box score as he caught 9 passes, from a combination of Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallet, for 157 yards.  Jones had 4 catches for 38 yards in the victory.
