(SportsRadio 610) -- Texans rookies report to training camp Monday, July 20 for COVID-19 testing ahead of their conditioning program.

Texans insider John McClain reports the rookies begin conditioning once cleared by their COVID testing results.

The Kansas City Chiefs are also operating on the same timeline.

Earlier in the day, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt listed unanswered questions about training camp and the upcoming NFL season.

Among the issues raised, Watt noted rookies had been scheduled to report to camp this Saturday, July 18. It appears the league pushed that back a couple of days.

Watt also said the NFLPA had not received "a single valid" IDER plan (Infectious Disease Emergency Response), and it was unclear whether there will be preseason games.

ProFootballTalk reported Thursday that one preseason game is the "very likely" scenario.

Officially, the NFL has cut the preseason in half, from four games to two.

With the first and fourth preseason games scrapped, that already nixes the Texans' trip to Minnesota for a game against the Vikings that had been scheduled for Aug. 14.

The Texans also won't play against the Dallas Cowboys, which had been scheduled at home for Sept. 3.

The Texans are scheduled to open the season against the Chiefs on Sept. 10.
