Two former Big 12 foes, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M, will face off in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl on Dec. 27 in NRG Stadium. It will be the first time the two teams meet on the field since 2011 when Oklahoma State defeated Texas A&M 30-29.
The Big 12 have won 3 consecutive Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl games over the SEC. The Aggies lead the series over Oklahoma State 17-10, dating back to 1913.
Oklahoma State is heading to its 14th consecutive bowl game and returning to a Houston bowl game for the first time since Les Miles, and the Cowboys beat Southern Miss in the 2002 Houston Bowl.
Texas A&M is returning to the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl for the third time in the bowl's history. In 2016, the Aggies fell to Kansas State 33-28.
