HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- The American League MVP runner-up from a year ago just hit his 100th career home run.
Alex Bregman has a hit in each of the Astros' four games so far this season.
But he entered Monday's game batting just .230, and hadn't hit a home run in 2020 just yet.
That changed in the third inning, when Bregman crushed a sinker from Seattle's Kendall Graveman to left center field for a three-run shot to give the Astros a 4-3 lead.
Houston trailed leading up to that point, with the Mariners scoring three runs in the top half of the inning.
Jose Altuve doubled on a line drive to left field to score Kyle Tucker, who'd reached on an error. Catcher Dustin Garneau, who walked, advanced to third.
This set up Bregman with two runners in scoring position.
He jumped on the first pitch.
