HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- The play ultimately cost the Texans nothing.
Tennessee was driving the field, trailing the Texans 14-7 in the fourth quarter when Ryan Tannehill passed to Kalif Raymond for a short pass on second down.
Texans outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett delivered a hard hit on Raymond, shoulder-to-shoulder. It's the type of play that would've been celebrated on NFL Films in previous decades.
Instead, Scarlett was flagged for unnecessary roughness, which set the Titans up with first-and-goal from the Texans' seven-yard line.
Two more plays and the Titans were in the end zone for the score. Back-to-back touchdowns tied the game and the Texans would have to make a few more plays before winning 24-21.

— SportsRadio 610 (@SportsRadio610) December 15, 2019Bill O'Brien was asked about the play Monday and declined to comment, clearly avoiding a penalty from the league for speaking about against officiating.
"Yeah, I got a good look at it," the head coach said with a smirk.
The questionable call did not hurt the Texans in the long run, but it could have.
"That's tough, because especially looking at the replay on the big board, I clearly hit the guy with my shoulder," Scarlett said after the game. "It wasn't near the head or neck area. It's tough on the other side, it's a bang-bang play. The refs, that's what they see, and I just wish it would've been a reviewable call, especially at that point in the game in a critical situation. So, I'm disappointed in that."
