(SportsRadio 610) -- Deshaun Watson is one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League.

Not one of the best young quarterbacks.

Not just the best in the AFC South.

Legitimately, Watson is a top-10 quarterback, and whether he is in the top five is up for debate.

But in no world should Watson rank behind Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

The quarterback ratings for Madden 21 show Ryan with an 87 overall rating, but an 86 for Watson.

EIGHTY-SIX.

To compare, Patrick Mahomes was rated 99; Russell Wilson 97; Lamar Jackson 94; Drew Brees 93; Tom Brady 90; and Aaron Rodgers 89.

Other than Ryan, all of those other quarterbacks could make a case for being better than Watson.

I wouldn't entertain it at this point for Brees or Brady, and Watson is a better passer than Jackson.

You could understand why someone might rate Brees and Brady, both legends and locks for the Hall of Fame, ahead of Watson.

But seven and four points better? In a video game?

Watson and his left tackle Laremy Tunsil find it just as laughable.

Apparently, the Madden raters would rather play the game with aging and waning athletes over one of the best football has to offer.

To each its own.
