HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- When Laremy Tunsil was in middle school in Lake City, Florida, he wrote down his goals and glued them to his wall.

One of those goals was to make it to the Pro Bowl once he was in the NFL.

The fourth-year left tackle, playing in his first season with the Texans since being traded from the Dolphins, can check that one off the list.

He learned about it through head coach Bill O'Brien, who told Tunsil about the selection Tuesday morning.

Tunsil said he's excited, and glad to be a Pro Bowler with Watson and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. He credited their star power for helping him receive more exposure as a high end left tackle.

The Texans gave up two first-round picks, a second-round pick and two players to get Tunsil, Kenny Stills and a fourth-round pick from Miami in the offseason.

Tunsil made the Pro Bowl despite leading the league in false start penalties with 15.

When asked if the Pro Bowl selection validated how much the Texans gave up to get him, Tunsil said it helps.

"I'm my biggest critic and I've just got to keep working," Tunsil said.
