The Houston Texans will host the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wild Card game next week after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon.
The Chiefs win solidifies the Texans as the No. 4 seed. What surprised fans on Sunday was the Patriots losing the Dolphins in Foxborough, which dropped New England to the No. 3 seed, and bumped the Chiefs into the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye.
This means the Patriots will host the final Wild Card team, while the Bills travel to Houston.
With not much on the line Sunday, the Texans rested most of their starters against the Titans, including quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The Texans dropped the regular season finale 35-14, which allowed the Titans the final AFC Wild Card spot.
Ryan Tannehill went 13-of-20 for 198 yards and two touchdown passes. Derrick Henry carried the ball 32 times for 211 yards and three scores.
Rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown had four catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Tight end MyCole Pruitt also caught a touchdown pass from Tannehill.
For the Texans, A.J. McCarron went 21-of-36 for 225 yards and an interception. He also ran for a touchdown.
Duke Johnson scored the first touchdown of the game.
The Titans will travel to Foxborough to face the Patriots in the Wild Card round.
