During the first hour of the outdoors show we begin with Captain Mickey's weather report and tide predictions. Then we head down south and talk with Captain Glenn Hammond who had a nice trip this week, it was on like a chicken bone, had a lot of undersized black drums and reds, teaching how to use a spinning rod, trying to not use live bait for the rest of the winter! Tommy Alexander says he fished the past two days with a big group in the lodge, but yesterday was one of the most miserable days of his career, water temperature still dropping into the low 60s maybe into the high 50s, with the winds coming in close to 20mph, being a weather forecaster is a tough job, Captain Brian Barrera is taking it easy today down on South Padre Island with the day off resting, was out on the water three times this week, had a great trip on Monday and the Bull Red run was on with some massive schools, fishing with soft plastics with shad tails, just dropping them over the side and hooking them up, being really calm next to the jetties!
