(SportsRadio 610) -- Kids Meals Houston, which feeds children under the age of 6 who don't have access to school-based free meal programs due to extreme poverty, is trying to get back to normal.
This week, Kids Meals Houston lost their entire inventory of food due to the loss of electricity related to the winter storm. They lost all meat, milk, juice and everything thawed had to be thrown out.
Every weekday, from 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers for this organization prepare thousands of healthy lunches with a sandwich, nutritious snack and juice or milk. Six vans deliver the meals to children enrolled in the program.
They need our help.
