Early Sunday afternoon (4/14) Tiger Woods completed the entire route of a comeback overcoming personal demons and four back surgeries, along with a slew of other setbacks of body and spirit.

On the win Woods said, "One of the hardest I've ever had to win, just because of the last couple of years."

Regarding the actual round on Sunday, Tiger Woods said, "I was as patient as I've been in a number of years. Kept control of my emotions."

For Woods it was his first major win since 2008.  His 15th major overall. His 5th Masters victory, one behind Jack Nicklaus. It was the most years between Masters victories, at 14 years.

Today has so many similarities to Jack’s win in 86. The down-and-out hero coming from behind. Molinari played the role of Seve. Brooks and DJ playing Greg Norman. What a day of sports.

A locked in Tiger Woods is the most dominant athlete in the history of sports. This is unbelievable.History is being witnessed by the world today. #TheMasters pic.twitter.com/akRCEysTNW

Congrats, Tiger. And to my dad, who’s probably crying somewhere down in Belize watching his third son won his fifth Masters and 15th major. Impressive stuff. Great Sunday.

I literally just shed a tear watching a man comeback from a personal meltdown, piece it all back together somehow, rebuild his frame and mental state, and beat the best golfers in the world. Incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a bigger sporting moment. #themasters2019 https://t.co/TIcmzQlk5m
