Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Lee Trevino returned to the Woodands Country Club for the 3M Greats of Golf as part of the Insperity Invitational. This marked the seventh year the golfing legends have made it out for the always memorable Saturday golf scramble.

World Golf HOF'er, Annika Sorenstam played last year and it was such a success, they decided to invite three more Hall of Famers. Nancy Lopez, Pat Bradley and Juli Inkster joined Sorenstam, Trevino, Nicklaus and Player in this years group.

Following Saturday's round, Nicklaus, along with Player and Trevino all boasted about how Sorenstam out drove all three of the men's HOF'ers adding that she could and should still be competing regularly.

"Like Jack said, she out drove us every hole, hit every second shot perfect, Gary played really well and then Jack and I tagged along, that was about it," Trevino said.

Nicklaus echoed Trevino's sentiment about tagging along, "I hit a couple good shots, just enough to bring me back unfortunatley," Nicklaus said chuckling.

Sorenstam, who retired from the LPGA in 2008, humbly agreed with the 3 other HOF'ers, "I like the way I drove the ball, I hit quite a few fairways today."

Annika since her retirement, has been involved in golf quite a bit, as a course designer as well as running her own foundation, the ANNIKA Academy and various other business ventures.

Meanwhile, the first round of competition of the Insperit Invitational was postponed due to weather, forcing players to play much of the first round early Saturday morning while also getting in their 2nd round of play on a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon, ahead of Sunday's final round.

On the Champions Tour, most of the tournaments are played over 3 rounds, which of course is one round fewer than regular stroke play tournaments on the PGA Tour.
