HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- The Houston Astros' Friday night game against the Oakland Athletics has been postponed.
Players from both teams took the field at Minute Maid Park for the national anthem. Then, Jackie Robinson jerseys from both teams were placed in the batters' boxes on each side of the late. Home plate was covered with a Black Lives Matter t-shirt.
The move not to play Friday night is in line with the Athletics' decision to sit out Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers in Arlington.
When Astros manager Dusty Baker spoke with media members Friday afternoon, he said the team had not yet discussed whether they would play, but lauded players from the NBA and around sports who are protesting racism and police brutality.
This is a developing story.
