(SportsRadio 610) -- Astros reliever Enoli Paredes is being placed on the 10-day injured list with "right side soreness," the team announced Friday.
Paredes left Thursday night's outing after walking his first two batters and then falling behind 2-1 to his third batter. The right-handed pitcher pulled up grimacing and was immediately pulled from the game.
This was the third outing of the season for Paredes, who has struggled early on. The Astros recalled Nivaldo Rodriguez from their alternate training site to take Paredes' place.
Houston is off to a hot start this season, going 6-1 in the first seven games. The Astros host the Oakland Athletics again Friday night.
