HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Not only did the Astros complete a series sweep over the Rangers this past weekend.
They also got back one of their best relievers in Enoli Paredes, who'd been on the injured list since April 9 with an oblique injury.
Paredes pitched the final inning for the Astros on Sunday, striking out two batters to secure the 6-2 win for Houston.
While having Parades back provides a much-needed boost to the Astros' bullpen, losing Urquidy for even a short amount of time is concerning. His regularly scheduled start would have been Monday, but the Astros have the day off.
It's unclear when Urquidy will be ready to pitch again, but an MRI last week showed no structural damage to his right shoulder. Urquidy left last Wednesday's start against the Angels after experiencing some discomfort in the fourth inning.
The official diagnosis is right posterior shoulder discomfort, but Urquidy said over the weekend he is feeling better.
Two other Astros starters -- Framber Valdez and Jake Odorizzi -- are currently doing rehab assignments and could re-join the team in the coming weeks.
