Astros rookie Brice Matthews enjoyed a breakout series this week in leading the team in a sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Matthews almost single-handedly one them the series, recording seven of the eight RBIs in the first two games and turning a double play to end the second game.
He hit two home runs Monday night off Zac Gallen, then another Tuesday night of Jake Woodford.
In Wednesday's finale, Matthews appeared to ground out in the sixth inning, but Arizona shortstop Geraldo Perdomo could not field it cleanly, allowing the rookie to reach safely and Christian Walker to score from third base to tie the game at one run apiece.
Houston won the game 4-3 to sweep the series.
