(SportsRadio 610) -- Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker is back in the lineup after spending eight days on the injured list due to a stomach sickness.
Tucker had been placed on the COVID-19 related injured list, though he did not test positive for the virus. Major League Baseball allows teams to used the COVID-19 injured list for players who show symptoms.
The Astros activated Tucker from the injured list Wednesday before playing the Baltimore Orioles. They optioned catcher Garrett Stubbs to Class AAA Sugar Land to make room for Tucker on the 26-man roster.
Left-handed pitcher Kent Emanuel, who recently underwent elbow surgery, was transferred to the 60-day injured list to free up space on the 40-man roster.
Tucker in his last 31 games is batting .352 with eight homers, 12 doubles, one triple, 27 RBI and a 1.060 OPS. For the season, he's second on the team in RBI (43) and third in home runs (13).
