Astros veteran Michael Brantley has been shut down because of inflammation in his surgically repaired right shoulder, manager Dusty Baker told reporters over the weekend.
Brantley looked like he was close to returning after being sidelined all season. But the five-time All-Star, who signed a one-year, $12 million deal in the off-season, remains out indefinitely.
