Much has been made of the reception that the Houston Astros will receive during their three World Series games at Citizens Bank Park this week.

But before the Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies played Game 3, Justin Verlander had some fun with hecklers.

Out of context, this sounds like something that might be a minor scandal. But when you actually listen to and watch the video, it's clear that both Verlander and the fans were just having a good time, and there was nothing malicious:

Verlander is likely to win the third American League Cy Young Award of his career, but the future Hall of Famer's tremendous regular season didn't translate to the Fall Classic.

Despite being spotted a 5-0 lead, Verlander was unable to get the first World Series win of his career, allowing six hits and five earned runs over just five innings in Game 1. The Phillies would ultimately win the game 6-5 in 10 innings.
