HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- After his foul with 0.3 seconds left on the clock that led to Aaron Holiday's game-winning free throws in the Rockets 105-103 win over the New York Knicks on Monday night at Toyota Center, Jalen Brunson response to all three questions he fielded about the play the same way.

"Great call. Next question," the Knicks guard repeated.

As it turns out, the call made by official Jacyn Goble was not great.

"After seeing it during postgame review, the offensive player was able to return to a normal playing position on the floor," crew chief Ed Malloy told the pool reporter. "The contact which occurred after the release of the ball therefore is incidental and marginal to the shot attempt and should not have been called."

The officials reviewed the play, but only to see if the foul occurred before time expired. They were not allowed to change the call on the floor, and the Knicks used their challenge in the first half, unsuccessfully challenging a blocking foul against Taj Gibson.

Holiday made the first two free throws before missing the third. Josh Hart grabbed the rebound for New York, but Malloy's crew ruled he did not call timeout before the clock struck triple zeroes.

Monday's win ended a four-game losing streak for the Rockets, who will play their final game before the All-Star Break on Wednesday in Memphis.
