The Rockets have agreed to send back the Brooklyn Nets 2026 first round and extinguish their 2025 pick swap with the Nets in exchange for three future draft assets.

The assets Houston is sending Brooklyn were first acquired in the James Harden trade three years ago. The Rockets are keeping the third overall pick in Wednesday's draft along with the right to swap picks with the Nets in 2027.

In exchange for giving Brooklyn back its assets, the Rockets are acquiring an unprotected pick swap from the Phoenix Suns in 2025, the Suns 2027 first round pick, and at least one unprotected first round pick in 2029, with the possibility of adding a second.

The Rockets will get the two most favorable 2029 first round picks among their own, Phoenix, and Dallas.

The Nets acquired the assets from Phoenix in the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving trades before the 2023 trade deadline.
