HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- Alperen Sengun will miss at least another week, Rockets head coach Stephen Silas said before Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
"He's getting closer," Silas said. "But he's still got a little ways to go."
Sengun sprained his right ankle in the first half of the Rockets loss to the Miami Heat on Friday night. He did not accompany the team on its two-game road trip to Philadelphia and Washington this week, but he did take part in Friday's shootaround.
"Today was actually the first day he's done anything," Silas said. "He's been doing conditioning and treatment, but today is the first day he had done anything on the floor."
The 16th pick in the draft had not missed a game before spraining his ankle a week ago. He's averaging 9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game this season.
