HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Rockets don't have a timetable for when Jae'Sean Tate will return to action, but he continues to make progress.
"Looks like it's gonna be pretty soon," Rockets head coach Stephen Silas said before Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. "It looks like it's getting closer to days than weeks."
Tate missed his 25th straight game on Friday due to what the team has called a right ankle injury. After missing just six games in his first two seasons with the Rockets, Tate has appeared in only 3-of-32 games this season.
Tate started doing on court work December 3 and progressed to playing 3-on-3 after Thursday's practice.
"He's moving around pretty good and playing some 1-on-1 and you know trying to get back into basketball shape so looks like it's gonna be pretty soon hopefully whatever pretty soon means
