Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr are making progress towards returning to the floor, Rockets head coach Stephen Silas disclosed before Monday's game in Chicago.
"They're both progressing fine," Silas said. "Jalen's progressing quicker, and he's very close to playing."
Monday will be the 13th straight game Green has missed due to a strained left hamstring suffered in the Rockets win over the Bulls on November 24. Silas says the hope is for Green to play before Christmas. The Rockets play December 22 in Milwaukee and December 23 in Indiana. The Rocket won't play again until December 27 in Charlotte.
"(Porter) will be after the Christmas break," Silas said. "Hopefully sooner than later."
A left thigh contusion has forced Porter to miss the Rockets last eight games and 11 games overall."
