(SportsRadio 610) -- The Rockets are emphasizing improving their transition defense. On Wednesday night, they face a Pacers team leading the NBA in fastbreak points.
Kelly Olynyk talked about the key to getting better in transition defense.
"A lot of it is communication. Once you're back there, you're not going to always be back on your matchup," Olynyk told reporters Wednesday morning ahead the Pacers game. "You're going to have to guard guys as they come up the floor and communicate, rotating, that kind of stuff.
It starts when the shot goes up, you've got to make your move on the shot. Whether you're getting back, crashing, getting to the board. Make sure our next-play speed, in order to recognize shot and get back, is at the highest level."
