When the Rockets three-game road trip ends after Wednesday's game in Philadelphia the team will return to Houston despite the widespread power outage and water shortage, Rockets head coach Stephen Silas said.

"That's the plan," Silas said at 5:00. "We're obviously monitoring what's going on in Houston and the roads and the availability of water and electricity at everybody's home, so as of right now, yes, we are flying back, but we are closely monitoring to see if that's a possibility or not."

The Rockets are scheduled to host a back-to-back at Toyota Center with the Dallas Mavericks visiting on Friday night, followed by a game against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Silas said he's not aware of any discussion about postponing those games are moving them to an alternative site.

"That doesn't mean it hasn't happened," Silas said.

If Toyota Center cannot host games this weekend it is unlikely American Airlines Center in Dallas would be able, but one option the NBA has is to have the Rockets and Mavericks play Friday night in Indianapolis, where the Rockets could then play the Pacers on Saturday. The Rockets are scheduled to play at home again on Monday.

As of 5:11 pm on Wednesday CenterPoint Energy reported 1.05 million customers were without power and the city was on a boil water notice.
