Something all Texans fans wanted to see in Saturday's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers is how things looked with C.J. Stroud at quarterback.
Since Stroud didn't play in the preseason opener last week, he'd only been seen in practice working with the new system under first-year offensive coordinator Nick Caley.
The first drive wasn't great -- three-and-out and a misfire by Stroud with a pass intended for Nico Collins, who appeared to be open on third down.
But they figured it out on the next drive after the defense forced a Carolina three-and-out. The Texans scored on a 60-yard, 11-play drive capped by a short touchdown pass from Stroud to Collins.
It was mostly Texans from there. Houston won 20-3.
