(SportsRadio 610) - This was a particularly unique situation.

You have a head coach getting fired after one year. And even though David Culley was clearly unfit to be an NFL head coach, no one is blaming him for the Texans being in the state they're in. He just wasn't the guy to help dig them out of this.

So, I don't think there's any sense of jubilance. But if Culley was a placeholder coach, does the combination of CEO Cal McNair, executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby and general manager Nick Caserio have the ability to hire the actual right coach in what would apparently be step two of their master plan.
