1. Phillip Dorsett was on the field and practicing for the first time.

2. Dorsett and Chester Rogers are two guys to watch closely, especially when preseason games begin. Could easily see both making the team.

3. It really is unsafe to be with 10 yards of the back corner of the end zone when Jeff Driskel is throwing. After breaking a camera Wednesday he threw another one into the observing area.

4. Rockets coach Stephen Silas was in attendance and getting a lot of attention from the local media types. He also spent some time talking to Nick Caserio and Lovie Smith.

5. Jack Easterby was also chatting up Silas. I can guarantee, would bet a lot of money, maybe all in the account he was name-dropping Suns coach Monty Williams. Stay away, Stephen. Stay away.

6. Kenyon Green was out Friday and Max Scharping was with the first-team again.

7. Pharaoh Brown, another day, another good practice. Becoming like clockwork.

8. Jalen Pitre intercepted Davis Mills in the end zone on a diving catch off of a deflection.

9. Chris Conley created the most noise from the fans in attendance on a leaping catch in the back of the end zone on a fade.

10. Tytus Howard was out with COVID, but is doing good per the great Mark Berman of Fox 26.

11. Charlie Heck, Cedric Ogbuehi and Austin Deculis got the right tackle reps in Howard’s absence.

12. They also used rookie Deculis as an extra offensive lineman in heavy sets. At one point they even put Ogbuehi in motion.

13. Marc Vandermeer has the best hat at practice.

14. The other contenders …

15. Jonathan Greenard had a JJ Watt-like interception. Batted at line, caught and taken to the house.
