(SportsRadio 610) -- Free agent safety Earl Thomas will not be signing with the Houston Texans, according to SportsRadio 610 insider John McClain.

Thomas was supposed to visit the Texans on Tuesday, but the meeting was put on hold.

Thomas was released by the Ravens during the offseason after an altercation with a teammate during training camp.

The Texans planned on bringing in multiple safeties for workouts this week, according to reports, with the seven-time Pro Bowler Thomas being the most noteworthy of the group.

They could use help at safety with A.J. Moore being placed on the injured-reserve list Monday.

It is not clear why the meeting was held up, but earlier in the day it was revealed that the Minnesota Vikings, who are scheduled to visit the Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday, suspended in-person club activities after three Titans players and five personnel members tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Vikings played against the Titans this past Sunday.
