It turns out the Texans are going to miss out on running backs Saquon Barkley and Devin Singletary.
Barkley, believed to be the Texans' top free agent target at running back, is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, Singletary, the Texans' top running back last season, is replacing Barkley with the Giants.
Singletary is expected to sign a three-year, $16.5 million deal worth up to $19.5 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The running back market is starting to dry up, with Derrick Henry, Austin Ekeler and Aaron Jones as the top options on the board for Houston as of Monday afternoon.
