The Houston Texans cut their roster down to 53 players ahead of Tuesday afternoon's deadline. Here's how things played out:

Quarterbacks

Running backs

Nick Chubb, Woody Marks, Dameon Pierce, Dare Ogunbowale and British Brooks

Wide receivers

Nico Collins, Christian Kirk, Braxton Berrios, Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Justin Watson

Tight ends

Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover

Offensive line

Jarrett Patterson, Blake Fisher, Jake Andrews, Ed Ingram, Juice Scruggs, Tytus Howard, Cam Robinson, Laken Tomlinson and Aireontae Ersery

Defensive line

Will Anderson Jr., Darrell Taylor, Danielle Hunter, Tommy Togiai, Sheldon Rankins, Folorunso Fatukasi, Dylan Horton, Derek Barnett, Mario Edwards Jr., and Tim Settle Jr.

Linebackers

Tommy Townsend, Ka'imi Fairbairn and Austin Brinkman

The Texans placed wide receiver Tank Dell and defensive linemen Denico Autry and Kurt Hinish on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Running back Joe Mixon and cornerback Alijah Huzzie are on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list.

Rookie safety Jaylen Reed is on the Reserve/Injured (Designated for Return) list. Tight end Irv Smith Jr. and wide receiver Juwann Winfree are on the Reserve/Injured list and safety Jimmie Ward, who is dealing with a legal situation, was placed on the Commissioner Exempt list by the NFL.
