The Texans are parting ways with quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson, ESPN first reported Thursday.
Johnson, who'd been the Texans QB coach since 2023 when C.J. Stroud was Offensive Rookie of the Year, interviewed for multiple offensive coordinator positions over the years, including the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason and the Texans' opening last year that went to Nick Caley.
Now, Johnson and the Texans are mutually parting ways, according to Adam Schefter. Texans senior offensive assistant Jerry Schlupinski will step in to coach Stroud, along with Caley, KPRC's Aaron Wilson reports.
