(SportsRadio 610) - Texans safety Justin Reid is a surprise healthy scratch from Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Reid is listed among the Texans' inactive players in their Week 12 matchup. The fourth-year safety out of Stanford, who becomes a free agent after this season, has two interceptions, a forced fumble and four passes defensed in 2021.

Without Reid, the Texans will rely on Eric Murray and Terrence Brooks at safety. The Texans also elevated safety Jonathan Owens from the practice squad Saturday.

Both teams are 2-8, each looking for their third win of the season.
