Texans hire Nick Caley as new offensive coordinator: report

The Texans are hiring former Los Angeles Rams assistant coach Nick Caley as their next offensive coordinator, NFL Network reported Monday afternoon.

Caley, 42, has been the Rams tight end coach since 2023 and spent this past season as the passing game coordinator. He replaces Bobby Slowik, who was the Texans' play caller for the past two seasons.

Caley was also an assistant for the New England Patriots from 2015 to 2022. He was an offensive assistant before coaching tight ends and fullbacks. Caley went to college at John Carroll, also Texans general manager Nick Caserio's alma mater.
