The Texans activated top wide receiver Nico Collins from the injured reserve list but he will not play Sunday night against the Detroit Lions.
Collins missed the Texans' last four games with a hamstring injury suffered in their home win against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 6. At the time of his injury, Collins was the NFL's leader in receiving yards with 567, which still ranks him in the top-15 despite missing four games.
The Texans also activated veteran defensive end Jerry Hughes, who'd been out with a hip injury. Cornerback Jeff Okudah was ruled out for Sunday's game with a quad injury.
Houston's matchup with Detroit (7-1) is between two of the league's top teams. Both are leading their respective divisions, while the Lions hold the NFC's best record and by far the highest point differential in the NFL.
