The Texans could be unloading quarterback Deshaun Watson as soon as this week, according to a report.

The Texans and Dolphins have recently re-engaged in trade talks, according to John McClain of SportsRadio 610 and the Houston Chronicle, and the sides want to get a deal done this week or before the league's Nov. 2 trade deadline.

Watson, 26, has been inactive for all of the Texans' games so far this season, after he was accused of sexual misconduct and assault in an explosive series of civil lawsuits filed in the offseason. The allegations are being investigated by authorities as well as the NFL.

Despite Watson's inactive status on game days, he has been collecting his salary after reporting to camp and continuing to work out.

The Texans were said to be seeking at least three first-round draft picks and several second- and third-rounders in exchange for Watson, a three-time Pro Bowler drafted 17th overall by Houston in 2017.

Watson has a full no-trade clause and would have to approve any deal, though he was previously reported to be interested in joining Miami.

The Dolphins, who have long been widely reported to be among the most motivated suitors for Watson, have intensified their pursuit following their loss to the Jaguars in London, according to McClain.

The defeat sent Miami to an ugly 1-5 start, caused in part by the absence of injured starter Tua Tagovailoa.

In a strange twist, the Dolphins were set to host the Texans in Week 9, on Nov. 7.
