The Texans will be without one of their starting cornerbacks when they visit the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Rookie corner Kamari Lassiter (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Lassiter, a second-round pick out of Georgia, has started every game for the Texans this season opposite Derek Stingley Jr.
Next on the depth chart for Houston is D'Angelo Ross and the Texans also signed Ka'dar Hollman for depth at the position.
Lassiter has an interception, three passes defended and two tackles for loss this season. The Texans will also be without veteran safety Jimmie Ward (groin) and wide receiver Robert Woods (foot). Ward's absence likely thrusts rookie safety Calen Bullock into a larger role Sunday.
Starting running back Joe Mixon returned to practice after recovering from an ankle injury suffered in week two against the Chicago Bears. Mixon is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
