(SportsRadio 610) -- You have a hard time convincing me that this move wasn't 100% about Deshaun Watson.
We heard Sunday, for four quarters, the crew calling the game question what Bill O'Brien was doing offensively.
We heard Deshaun Watson in the post-game press conference talk about not letting the moment "steal his joy" when in reality his team is 0-4 and his offense is one of the worst in the NFL. That's not the Deshaun Watson that I know.
I would imagine that Cal McNair called in Watson and some of the other leaders on this football team and realized pretty quickly that the problem was bigger and more severe than he had initially thought.
Ultimately, Cal realized he couldn't win a championship with Bill O'Brien leading the way. He's guaranteed $111 million to Deshaun Watson and watched him regress for four years, and significantly for the last four games.
And, the dysfunction around him became very obvious.
The square peg round hole came to a head and Bill O'Brien had to go.
