Texans agree to three-year extension with WR Nico Collins

The Texans are showing a heavy commitment to wide receiver Nico Collins.

They have agreed to a three-year, $72.25 million extension, according to multiple media outlets. The deal includes $52 million guaranteed with up to $75 million for Collins.

It is a tremendous reward for the productive season Collins just put forward in 2023, his third year as a pro. He was entering the final season of his rookie contract and this deal keeps him in Houston for the long term.

Last season, Collins posted 1,297 receiving yards with eight touchdowns on 80 catches. He was one of the league leaders in yards after the catch and a key weapon for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The Texans are sure to have a prolific passing attack in 2024 with Stroud, Collins, Dalton Schultz, Tank Dell and the addition of veteran Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs.
