(SportsRadio 610) -- Texans running back Duke Johnson did not practice with the team Friday and his status is questionable for Sunday's game against Colts in Indianapolis.
Johnson has been battling a neck injury this week, and has not practiced since Wednesday, when he was a limited participant.
Interim head coach Romeo Crennel said earlier that Johnson would be day-to-day, but whether he practiced Friday would speak to whether he plays Sunday.
Also questionable for Sunday's game is safety Lonnie Johnson Jr., who has a knee injury. Lonnie Johnson was limited in Friday's practice after being a full participant earlier in the week.
Running back C.J. Prosise (ankle) was held from practice Sunday and his status is questionable for Sunday. Also questionable are cornerbacks Phillip Gaines (knee) and John Reid (neck), who were both limited in practice Friday.
Gaines and Reid missed last Sunday's trip to Chicago, where the Texans were embarrassed by the Bears, 36-7.
The Texans are thin in the secondary after losing safety Justin Reid to a season-ending hand injury against Chicago.
They claimed former Vikings cornerback Mark Fields II off waivers Thursday to add some depth to the group of defensive backs.
With Reid out, the Texans will rely more on A.J. Moore and Jonathan Owens, at safety. Eric Murray, who signed with Houston in the offseason to play, has been helping as a slot corner for the Texans.
