Texans LG Kenyon Green to miss rest of season with shoulder injury: reports

Texans left guard Kenyon Green is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, NFL Network reported Friday.

Green suffered in the injury during Thursday night's loss to the New York Jets. Kendrick Green played left guard in his place, with backup Jarrett Patterson in concussion protocol.

It has been a rough three seasons for the Houston-area native and Texas A&M product. Kenyon Green struggled as a rookie, never fully getting in NFL shape. Injuries took away his entire second season. Then nine games into his third season, he'd already been benched and posted some of the worst performances for any guard in the league.

The Texans used the No. 15 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to select Green, who played high school football at Atascocita. They traded out of the 13th pick, where the Philadelphia Eagles drafted defensive tackle Jordan Davis, and passing on All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton, who the Baltimore Ravens selected 14th overall.
