Texans second-year RB Dameon Pierce has lofty goals this season

(SportsRadio 610) - If the Texans offense is going to be good this year, it will rely heavily on second-year running back Dameon Pierce being on his A-game.

That's according to first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans, who previously coached defense opposite Kyle Shanahan's run-happy system with the San Francisco 49ers. The Texans' offensive coordinator is Bobby Slowik, another former 49ers coach who figures to focus on similar concepts.

Pierce, always a joy when he talks to the media, spoke recently about how he fits into the new offense; training differently from his rookie season; the team's investment in the offensive line; and his goals for 2023.
