(SportsRadio 610) -- The already short-handed Texans suffered another blow in the first half of Sunday's game, losing starting running back David Johnson and left guard Senio Kelemete to concussions.

In addition to Johnson and Kelemete, the Texans also lost outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett to an arm injury. All three have been ruled out from returning to Sunday's game.

Without David Johnson, his backup Duke Johnson is getting the Texans' carries.

Kelemete replaced Max Scharping in the starting lineup early this season, but Scharping is out due to a positive COVID-19 test. Kelemete has been replaced on the field by Brent Qvale.

The Texans were also thin at outside linebacker, with Jacob Martin testing positive for COVID-19 and Whitney Mercilus being ruled out as a high-risk close contact.

Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu also left Sunday's game with a leg injury. His return is questionable.

The Texans lead the Jaguars 20-16 at halftime.
