HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Texans running back Duke Johnson was upgraded to full participation at practice Thursday and Friday.
Johnson has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, and had been limited at practice until Thursday. He is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Vikings (0-3) at NRG Stadium.
Texans head coach Bill O'Brien when asked about Johnson on Friday said the running back has looked good at practice.
The Texans have struggled to run the ball in their 0-3 start. They have just 198 yards on 54 carries, the second fewest in the NFL ahead of only the New York Giants.
Duke Johnson and Texans newcomer David Johnson hoped to pair as a dangerous set of weapons for Deshaun Watson in both the running and passing game.
David Johnson has seven catches on 11 targets for 71 yards in three games this season. Four of those catches were for first downs.
Duke Johnson ran the ball five times for 14 yards and was targeted just once before the ankle injury.
