(SportsRadio 610) - The Texans are bolstering their defensive line with the addition of two productive veterans.
The team officially announced signing former Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Addison on Tuesday. It was also reported by various media outlets that Houston would be signing defensive end Jerry Hughes, who was Addison's teammate with the Bills and is a Houston-area native.
These signings are in addition to the Texans bringing in former Seahawks pass rusher Rasheem Green.
Addison, 34, has 67 career sacks, including seven last year for Buffalo. He's been in the league since 2011, and spent seven seasons with the Carolina Panthers before joining the Bills in 2020.
Hughes, 33, has 58 career sacks since entering the league with the Indianapolis Colts in 2010, including back-to-back 10-sack seasons in his first two seasons with Buffalo (2013-2014).
The Texans tied for the fifth-fewest sacks in football last year.
